The Office of Alumni Affairs, in partnership with the º£½ÇÉçÇø Student Alumni Association (SAA) and MVSU National Alumni Association chapters, celebrates Read Across America Week each March through literacy outreach and community engagement. During this annual observance, students, alumni, and volunteers visit local schools to encourage young readers, promote the importance of literacy, and foster meaningful connections within our communities.
Originally established to celebrate reading on Dr. Seuss's birthday, Read Across America has grown into a nationwide movement that encourages literacy year-round while celebrating diverse stories and voices. Through this annual outreach effort, MVSU continues its commitment to service, education, and inspiring future generations of readers.
