MVSU Student Joshua Gordon Selected for SelectQuote Summer Internship

ITTA BENA, Miss. — º£½ÇÉçÇø student Joshua Gordon has been selected for a 2026 summer internship with SelectQuote Insurance Company, a publicly traded insurance broker that helps consumers compare and purchase policies.

The hybrid internship will allow Gordon to work both remotely and at the company’s headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri, while gaining technical and professional experience.

Bailey, instructor in the Department of English and Foreign Languages, as the 2025–2026 Humanities Teacher of the Year, recognizing her commitment to academic excellence, student engagement, and innovative teaching practices.

Campus Update: º£½ÇÉçÇø Remains Closed; Anticipated Reopening Monday Pending Conditions

Due to ongoing challenges related to power outages across campus and continued travel concerns throughout the region, º£½ÇÉçÇø remains closed at this time.

The university anticipates reopening on Monday, February 2, pending improved conditions and continued power restoration. A final determination regarding campus operations will be communicated as soon as assessments are complete.
